A Story of Love
This site and project would not be possible if not for my mom, Mary. My mom adopted me at birth and raised me on her own. She and I had our own struggles, but became incredibly close, once I became an adult.
My mother loved with her full heart and had a sparkling personality. She also hid deep trauma and was a closeted queer woman most of her life. She deserved to live a life full of all the love she could experience -and I hope to honor her life by sharing some of her story.
At the start of 2019, I became my mom's full time caregiver. She was in my loving care for almost 2 years, until she passed, with me by her side - holding her hand while she transitioned onto her next chapter in whatever may be, after death.
This whole page - my whole life - everything I do - is because of her love. I will forever honor her spirit and the love we had for each other.
My HerStory
A little bit about me - I'm a California Native that moved to Texas at the end of 2018. I personally have experienced deep trauma / cptsd and have a life time of therapy under my belt as a patient, with a few different skilled therapists. I am not a therapist nor do I claim to be - I am merely a survivor who wants to help support others through healing by sharing parts of their lives they are comfortable with sharing.
I am known a little bit online for my Etsy /online shop FourLetterWordCards, which has been open for the past 10 years. I've helped celebrate over 20 thousand customers, and it's been my greatest joy!
